Live United Prom & Awards Ceremony
On Saturday, April 26, we celebrated the shining stars of our community—individuals, businesses, and organizations that have gone above and beyond to build a stronger, more united future for us all. Attendees helped honor those making a lasting impact, and positive energy lit up the night.
While this event was primarily about recognition and celebration, we’re thrilled to share that we raised $28,707!
These funds will go directly toward continuing the vital work of improving lives and strengthening our community. Thank you to everyone who was part of this incredible night. United is the Way™ we come together and build a stronger Clallam County—today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Live United Award Winners
The LIVE UNITED Awards are our way of recognizing some truly amazing businesses, individuals, and organizations who have gone above and beyond in supporting United Way’s mission over the past year. These folks stepped up in big ways through leadership, generosity, and a deep commitment to our community.

Healthy Community
Healthy Families of Clallam County
Healthy Families of Clallam County has been a trusted advocate and resource for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and homelessness for over 40 years. They offer everything from emergency shelter and legal advocacy to education and support programs that help people heal and rebuild their lives. Their dedicated team works tirelessly to create a safer, more compassionate community—promoting long-term health, stability, and resilience for some of Clallam County’s most vulnerable residents.

Financial Security
Peninsula College
Education is one of the most powerful tools for long-term financial stability, and Peninsula College is making that tool accessible to all. With scholarships, career-focused programs, and wraparound support services, they’re helping students of all backgrounds build better opportunities for themselves and their families. Peninsula college not only provides classes and degrees, they partner with organizations in the community to make sure every need of every student is met.

Youth Opportunity
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula
The Clubs are a safe haven for hundreds of kids and teens across Clallam County, offering after-school and summer programs filled with support, mentorship, and opportunity. They help young people stay on track in school, stay healthy, and build strong character — and no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Their commitment to equity and empowerment is opening doors for kids all over our region.
“It is an absolute honor, pleasure, but most of all, a privilege to be standing up here on behalf of those we serve. Since 1988, United Way has been alongside the Boys and Girls Club. No one on the stage was born up here [sic] during that time, but everyone in this room has taken care of the youth in our community. And we are so thankful to be able to accept this award on behalf of the youth that we serve in Port Angeles and Sequim." - Mary Budke, CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula

Campaign Volunteer
Tanya Holman
Tanya pours her heart into everything she does. She is always ready to lend a hand, always showing up with a smile, and always leading by example. She’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back — and probably offer you a snack while she’s at it. Tanya’s dedication, positivity, and genuine care for others make her a standout volunteer and an inspiration to everyone lucky enough to work with her.

Board Volunteer
Lara Stanton
For the last two years, Lara has been a true rock on our board, always stepping up when we need her. Whether it’s jumping in to help at events or brainstorming new ideas, Lara is ready to pitch in with enthusiasm - and she never forgets to bring treats to board meetings. Lara’s reliability, generosity, and infectious energy make her the perfect example of what it means to be a committed volunteer.

Community Volunteer
Jeremy Gilchrist
Jeremy brings not just time and talent — but also tech skills, lighting knowledge, and the kind of "I’ve got this" attitude that really helps elevate United Way events. Between his work with the OMC Foundation and WFEA, Jeremy somehow still finds time to jump in to help our team — whether it’s hanging lights, fixing tech, or offering ideas to keep things running smoothly. His generosity and know-how make him invaluable and we’re so grateful to have him in our corner.
“I was the kid that was gonna leave and never come back. And one of the greatest things to happen is that I was able to come back and see this community, all those people that I used to see in the background. [And] just to be able to be... part of that is truly an honor” -Jeremy Gilchrist

Community Minded Business
Sound Community Bank
We all know it takes more than just individuals to create lasting change — it takes businesses that care deeply about their community and show up in meaningful ways. That’s why we presented the Community-Minded Business of the Year award to Sound Community Bank. From generous sponsorships to hands-on volunteer efforts, Sound Community Bank has been a steady, reliable partner — not just to United Way, but to so many local organizations across Clallam County. Their team shows up with heart, with purpose, and with a real passion for making this community stronger. They’re a shining example of what it looks like when a business invests in the place they call home.

Employee Giving Campaign
Forks Community Hospital
This team knows the true meaning of giving back — not just in the care they provide every day, but in the way they rally together to support their community. Year after year, the team at Forks Community Hospital shows up with generosity, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to making a difference. They not only met their employee giving goal this year — they crushed it, raising over $10,000 to support the causes that matter most to them and their neighbors. That kind of impact speaks volumes, and it reflects the heart of their mission: supporting and strengthening their community, inside and out.
