United Way is working to help every person in every community get on a path toward financial security. That starts with access to education and training opportunities to prepare people for good-paying jobs with the potential to grow into long-term, sustainable careers.

United Way of Clallam County is pleased to offer a new funding source for individuals looking to gain skills that lead to living wage jobs. 

This initiative is thanks to a partnership with Olympic View Community Foundation and the Peninsula Home Fund.

This scholarship is for individuals who are wanting to complete a short-term education program that will lead to hirable skills. This includes Job Training & Professional Development classes offered through Community Education at Peninsula College such as Flagger Certification, Excel Classes, and HR Generalist Certificate. These funds are meant specifically for short-term certificates that don't qualify for financial aid. Other programs that provide reputable job training will also be considered, like NW Lineman School. All scholarship funds have been distributed.
