Hike United 2025 Recap
We’re celebrating the incredible success of this year’s Hike United hike-a-thon! More than 60 adult hikers and 17 kid hikers took on weekly challenges, explored the beauty of Clallam County, and proudly earned their 2025 medals. With every step, our hikers helped raise awareness and funds to support vital programs across our community.
This beloved annual tradition continues to grow, and this year we rolled out several new elements:
- We scaled our fundraising platform to make it available to all hikers, both individuals and teams.
- For the first time, we offered prizes for reaching different levels of fundraising.
- We hosted a photo contest with grand prizes for the winners.

Together with our individual hikers, teams, sponsors, and donors, we raised $6,225 for struggling families and individuals in Clallam County.
Photo Contest
It's the first year we've hosted a Hike United photo contests and WOW! We have some incredible photographers in our midst! From an amazing pool of submissions, our judges selected three winners. Best t-shirt and scenic shots received a guided hiking package for 2 from our Prize Sponsor Olympic Hiking Co. Best animal shot was not a planned category, but there were so many wonderful pictures of local wildlife that we just had to choose one for honorable mention.
Grand Prize - Best Scenic Shot: Coleta Thomson

Grand Prize - Best T-Shirt Shot: Crista Currie

Honorable Mention - Best Animal Shot: Emily Metzer
