Habitat for Humanity Clallam County is offering Retail Internships at both Habitat Store locations (Port Angeles & Sequim). Interested students should send an email to info@habitaclallam.org – Our Affiliate has also hosted an Internship program – giving High School students the opportunity to help with special events, daily operations and learn how a nonprofit works and what Habitat does to serve our community.
In addition, we are building new homes in Port Angeles – students 16 & 17 years old can volunteer on the build site WITH a parent permission form signed and submitted to Habitat – we worked with the PAHS Key Club and they did landscape for one of our newly built homes. We cannot have students younger than 16 on the build site.
In Sequim we engage youth for our Rally in the Alley (RITA) neighborhood clean-ups – Troop #90 has participated in every RITA – there have been more than 10 over the years. In addition, Sequim HS Interact Club also participates – with RITA there is no age restriction for RITA these events are scheduled in partnership with the City of Sequim – we typically host 3 or 4 per calendar year on a Saturday morning 9:30 – 11:30 am.
