Incorporated in Clallam County since 1952, United Way of Clallam County is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization governed by a local volunteer board of directors, and managed by 2 full-time and three part-time employees. Hundreds of volunteers county-wide give of their time and talents to United Way and our Partner Agencies.
In 2010, we are funding programs offered by 26 partner agencies. We also distributed donor designations to more than 55 non-partner organizations. We are developing Community Solutions to address local issues, including Literacy, the 211 Information and Referral network, and Access to Healthcare.
The Clallam County Literacy Council, a program of United Way, works to stimulate community interest in the importance of literacy by supporting new and established services.
The Clallam Community Foundation, administered by United Way of Clallam County, is an endowment fund for United Way and other Foundation Partner Agencies that provide health and human services to residents of Clallam County. The Foundation implements the shared vision of donors and Partner Agencies in furthering our mission.
